Haven’t heard of Meeniyan Marty Gras?!

Well – South Gippsland‘s tiny little town of Meeniyan glitters up for its most fabulous night of nights, the much loved and anticipated fundraising event – Meeniyan Marty Gras.

 

A colourful celebration of diversity, community and togetherness, guests are encouraged to dress in their most outrageous and creative outfits, embracing the theme behind Marty Gras’ namesake event. And it’s not a Marty Gras without Queens! This year’s headliners include RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under contestant Aubrey Haive her partner in crime Gloss, AND Xena Ghost, PLUS local DJ Golden Fleece, the Gippsland Queer Choir and It’s no drama inclusive theatre ensemble.

 

Food is provided by Meeniyan Red Cross, BYO drinks, glasses and Eskys.

 

The event is held to raise much needed funds for two initiatives dear to founder Marty Thomas’ heart – Opportunities of Development thru Art (ODA) in Cambodia, and Gippsland Pride Initiative Inc.
